Kim and Ben have been separated for three years, still carrying the weight of a family tragedy that changed everything. Kim now lives in her mother’s farmhouse, while her mother has moved into town. When a musician comes to stay with Kim for a few weeks one summer, his presence stirs emotions and prompts long-buried truths to surface. As the season unfolds, Kim and Ben are forced to confront their past and the unresolved issues that still bind them together.
