A New Home for Training, A New Future for Canadians in Need
For over four decades, Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides has been matching specially trained Dog Guides with Canadians who need them most. These remarkable dogs assist individuals with a range of medical and physical disabilities, including:
- Canine Vision – Guiding individuals who are blind or visually impaired
- Hearing Assistance – Alerting people with hearing loss to important sounds
- Service Support – Helping those with physical disabilities complete everyday tasks
- Seizure Response – Providing alerts and assistance for those with epilepsy
- Diabetic Alert – Detecting changes in blood sugar for people with Type 1 diabetes
- Autism Assistance – Enhancing safety and comfort for children with autism spectrum disorder
- Facility Support – Offering comfort and support in professional care settings
